Claire graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tasmania in 2007 and has worked as a Clinical Psychologist in a range of roles around Hobart since that time. She has enjoyed working as part of multidisciplinary teams for the Department of Education, Disability Services and Adult Community Mental Health Services, as well as in private practice, giving her a broad range of experiences working with various demographics and presentations. Claire is available to work with clients from school age to adulthood.
Claire approaches therapy with a warm, genuine and down-to-earth nature. She is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Claire has a particular interest and extensive experience adapting and using evidence-based practices for people with intellectual disability and can work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS clients.
